HR Director of Baikal Mining Company, Olga Litvinova, delivered a series of lectures to students and teachers of Mining Faculty of Zabaikalye State University, Chita Polytechnic College and M. I. Agoshkov Zabaikalye Mining College in the period from 26th to 28th of February.
Baikal Mining Company (part of USM Holding), VEB.RF, Gazprombank and Sberbank came to an agreement to finance Stage I of Udokan Copper Project (Zabaikalye Region, Kalar District) and construction of the Mining and Metallurgical Plant. Key terms of the financing were established in the term sheet signed by partner banks and Baikal Mining Company at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
Baikal Mining Company signed contracts for the construction of main power infrastructure facilities for Udokan MMP.
According to the documents, PMK Sibiri LLC shall perform work package to build 220/35/10 kV substation for Udokan MMP, and ESK Energomost LLC shall construct 220 kV Chara - Udokan MMP high-voltage line. Both contracts are executed on a turn-key basis.
On December 19 Head of Zabaikalye Region Alexander Osipov held a working meeting with General Director of Baikal Mining Company Yury Ryabov. The head of the company executing Udokan MMP construction and operation project in the Region informed about the progress of project implementation and provision of the Plant`s facilities with transport and power infrastructure.

On December 12, 2018 a positive state expert review was awarded by Federal Autonomous Institution “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” to the Design Documentation and results of engineering surveys for Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant Stage 1 with the capacity of 12 mtpa of ore.
Baikal Mining Company and Dalstroymekhanizatsia OJSC signed a contract for the full package of construction works to build one of the key infrastructure facilities of Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant — access road from Novaya Chara railway station to the plant site.
According to the Order of the Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor (Federal Service for the Supervision of Use of Natural Resources) for Zabaikalye Region, the state environmental expert committee of the federal level approved design documentation for Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant Stage 1 with the capacity of 12 mtpa of ore.
