Baikal Mining Company Completed Construction of Power Transmission Line Towers for Udokan MMP Power Supply
High-voltage power transmission line shall stretch for 22 kilometers from Chara settlement up to the construction site of Udokan Full-Cycle Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

The power transmission line and substation designed for operation in complex highland conditions have been under construction since December 2018.

As of today, all 96 towers of the high-voltage line were installed and constructed. Construction of a substation is in full swing, in particular, portals, overhead line and pendant accessories, cables were installed.

Creation of power infrastructure shall enable to provide construction of the main facilities of the Plant with capacity and put its Stage I into operation.

Please be reminded that Baikal Mining Company is going to put into operation Stage I of Udokan Full-Cycle Mining and Metallurgical Plant with annual capacity of 12 mtpa of ore in 2022. The Plant situated in the north of Zabaikalye Region shall produce cathode copper and sulphide concentrate. 25 September 2019
